POny RIDEs

Our ponies are small and available only for small children. Pony rides are available for children that are between the ages of 18 months to 7 years old and weigh under 65 lbs.

Rides are two laps around the animal farm on a pony led by a member of our team. One adult may walk beside the child during the pony ride.

There is no 'double-riding' with two children sharing a pony.

Parents of young children are encouraged to walk alongside their child during the ride; however, please be careful to stay away from the pony's legs, do not walk behind a pony, and do not make any sudden or sharp movements or sounds that may startle the pony.

Pony rides are available 9:00 - 4:00 6 days a week, and from 9:00 - 5:00 during the High Season (9:00 - 4:00 on Saturdays).

Check in for the pony rides are in the office; the parent (or guardian if no parent is present) must fill out a waiver prior to placing child on a pony.

Reservations are not available for pony rides. The busiest times for pony rides are between 9-12. Rides are given on a first come, first served basis.

SMALL ANIMAL FARM

Our animal farm is fully accredited by the Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC). DHEC regulations prohibit feeding the animals with any food not provided by the farm so that we can control the quality and quantity of food the animals receive.  For this reason, we ask that you do not bring your own food to feed the animals

You may purchase animal feed on the front porch of the gift shop for .50 cents per handful. Do not feed the farm animals out of a cup or container, please feed out of the palm of your hand. If the animals get a hold of plastic cups, they tend to try to eat them.

If you have food for the horses (carrots or apples), you may feed the ponies or the Clydesdale (Woody) in the front paddock, or the trail horses in the paddock adjacent to the animal farm. Please note we do not sell carrots or apples for the horses and apples must be SLICED AND CORED.

We ask that you do not feed the working horses and ponies (any horse or pony wearing a saddle).
